Looks like the dow is getting ready to break back down to 8700 again. The broader market appears to be somewhat stronger right here with the NAZ only off .65%, the S&P off .91% and the RTX off .86, against the dow's 1.18% point decline. MMM and the oils seem to be doing the most damage.

I am looking for another bounce of 8700 and like a down 65 point day at the close.

Oct 27

My recollection of that day was straight down.....

Just a second, I'll dig up a chart. (Years of chart patterns and I rely on memory....duh).

The day was marginally up until 10:15 (all times Eastern), where it filled about a 10 point gap-down from the open.

Then down 20 spoo points to 11:30 and a bounce to noon reclaiming 7 or 8 points.

Then pretty much straight down to the third trading halt at 2:35 (spoos down about 40).

Then a collapse until 3:20 and the fourth halt. Globex traded down another 15 and the market was halted a fifth time, during the overnight session.
