Hello Bill. I was wondering the same thing and so I looked back through ABZ news releases for the last year as I thought I recalled mention of their largest gem quality diamond. In ABZ news release from Nov 10,97 they state that the diamond was "an eight carater". This release also lists valuations per ton for the various pipes.
I would think that larger stones being more valuable the WSP sample might have a higher value per carat, depending on quality not to mention possible color.
As far as I know this 10 carater from WSP sample is now the largest found to date in the NWT. If someone knows of larger diamonds being found please correct me.
Also does anyone know what an average good quality 10 carat stone would be valued at?
