re workstation vs desktop.
Thanks a bunch.
Clarify or expand:
At home I have a pc (not a Dell yet: I was a babe in the woods when I bought, when I replace it will be a Dell, of course.)
It is one computer with a modem, monitor, printer, keyboard and cd rom. That is a "desktop" right?
At work the main office has a ?mainframe?
In my office I have a computer it has a keyboard, and monitor. To print I set it up, but go pick up the finished product at the main printer in the main office. I dont know if my computer at work has a modem or not, but I'll look at the specs and let you know if it matters. I can get info from the main office computer through mine: is mine a "workstation" then even though it looks (minus some stuff) like my "desktop" at home?
