Interesting point. Actually, I can't recall the last time a nuclear energy facility was built and finally permitted to operate. Seems like years ago. Here in New England, its the last thing any utility is contemplating, particularly in light of what's happened at Northeast Utilities and their East Haddam plant debacle. Cost overruns, faulty safety procedures, nuclear is anathema in NEngland. Incidentally, their stock has been beaten up pretty bad and the dividend was eliminated months ago. Know personally a few folk hurt bad with this nuclear dominated utility. This is aside some health issues that have dogged this company for years. L
