Hi Ed. My impression is that the US Fed even hints of a interest hike, the people rushing from the gate of Canadian markets will create such a vacuum that we will all be left; breatheless and with NO money!!

If the Canuck dollar keeps tanking the B of Canada may have to jack up our rates, again we will be left breatheless and with NO money.

If the Asian decline in demand for commodities continues to add to any of the two scenarios above, we will be left breathless and NO money.

IMHO Were headin south until 4th quarter 98 where oil will slowly start to rise in price. If the Asian have bottomed or stabilized their economies by then, then we will see a progressive rise in copper and silver. Gold will likely be last on the list!

MOO and, I have been known to be full of fertilizer before!!

Ed - der bottom fishfinder stuck on so many fishes on da bottom, dis be pretty hard on da eyes lukin at da red screens.

Ways I see it is dis and dat
- gold in da tank countin da EMU fixin fer only 10-15% backing da Eurobux
- oil in da crapper, cause da El Nino, and no place to store, nobody cuttin back, and more production due on line
- base metals loosin demand causin da Asian economies
- silver goin down
- all Asia phinancial institutions in big trouble lending out too much buxs to many projects not makin return bux
- many Asian kumpanies unable to get phinancing now
- but alas, da American buxs is plentiful and der be lotsa American companies and banks loaded wid der buxs just waitin bit more for better firesale prices, so dey swoop in eventually buy up all da gooder Asian kumpanies and banks
- den we smokin again

In da meantime, gotta get some pots and pans coresies outa da Harp, or dis Donner gonna trade down wid da rest of da world below a bux maybe tomorrowlike, and da Nordern Abitib, might be lucky to get it down at $0.25, and da Cypress down at $0.15.

Now da Lab tells me tonite, deys out dare kickin rock, mappin out der trocktolite, so spect we get at least 1 drillin up hole outa dat

Sure was funner tradin da S&Ps today, nice ting bout dat is yus don't care whether it goes up or down causin you can go long or short at any time, just wanna be right dats all

My guess is there will be a bounce but could take a month or so. Everyone is reacting now like the Asia problem is something new but this all started close to 6 months ago. Should hopefuly start getting some purchasing of Asian products and that will help. Look at the discounts on U.S. vehicles right now. The market has slowed but prices of Asian vehicles are very competitive. Maybe just wishful thinking because my scenario would help commodity prices (and SVB stocks). Hell of a couple of days. I have about 30 to 35 stocks on the screen and in the last 3 trading days, I have had only 3 stocks that were even or up and all have lost value during the three days. Pretty broad based decline .
