SALT LAKE CITY, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Communications Industries Association, Inc.(R) (ICIA(R)) awarded their first annual "Best of Show" award to Gentner Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: GTNR) at their INFOCOMM International 1998.
INFOCOMM International is the leading exhibition in the audio/visual presentation industry. The trade show attracts over 20,000 attendees from 70 countries annually. ICIA is the premier trade association representing manufacturers, dealers, installers, corporate end-users and other companies and individuals in the audio/video presentation industry. ICIA recognized three companies, based on booth size, with its "Best of Show" award for dynamic exhibit design. Out of 400 exhibitors, the three companies who received the 1998 award were Sony Electronics, Inc., Davis North America, and Gentner Communications Corporation. "Best of Show" was judged by INFOCOMM participants who are professionals in fields such as multimedia, video, presentations, and audioconferencing.
Lareen Strong, Director of Marketing for Gentner recognized the efforts of the entire Gentner team and sales staff. "The key to a successful trade show is in an integrated marketing effort. Our AP800 Audioconferencing system was a huge success at INFOCOMM. We knew our customers would want hands-on experience with this new product line, so we designed our booth to give them what they needed to make purchasing decisions. By showing the functioning Audio Perfect(TM) products on roll-abouts, our customers were able to check- out the connections and try the products."
Gentner's Director of Sales, Kent Rogers, states "we wanted our customers at INFOCOMM to experience Gentner's quality in every way. We have the best technical support, the best sales people, and the best products. Our goal is to help our customers see, hear, and experience that quality in everything we do."
Gentner's in-house advertising agency and Atmosphere Studios LLC of Salt Lake City provided the design and production work for the Gentner booth. Atmosphere Studios provides creative services, engineering, project management, production, field services and warehousing for trade shows and marketing events.
