You are correct that short-term options are generally not very safe; I only invested in $375 worth, so it's no big deal. I don't know why KO rebounded from 52 up to 80. If it hits 52 again before mid-August, that $375 will turn into $13,000. Of course, the odds are against me... Many are predicting a summer rally and October correction. However, when many people predict the same thing, they are often wrong. The market could continue falling from here, and the expected summer rally might never happen.
