beb/gam can you ask Gordon something? I used to know a Bob Gordon over at Opphenhiemer back in 1983. He was a brilliant investment banker there. Any chance this is the same guy? If he claims to be, tell him we did some Japanese/American stock market, dividends/capitol gains tax plays, he should know what that was.

But... in my opinion it is not insider information when he told the Gambler/ Beeb connection this information.... Why? Because Gordon realized it would be published on the thread!!! TSIG/CCI are very aware of the SI subscribers. Once Gordon decided to disclose this information to SI it became public knowledge (just my opinion). Very excellent point!!! I didn't even think of that. Mr. Gordon did know perfectly well that we intended to do a post on our conversation. In fact, there were a few things he said that he didn't want us to post too before he said them. Nothing big, just formalities. Gambler
