To All,

Aren't all these chips being sold into an expanding mktplace? Unless one chip is vastly superior to another, and available when needed, then won't other factors ie price, vendor relationships etc be very important factors. Q must have wanted VLSI and LSI to enter the mkt so that there would be choice and innovation. This has to be a good thing.

Didn't Gruntal upgrade VLSI because CDMA would be the next generation Standard?

I noticed over at Deja News where Tero sent me snooping yesterday a lot of people complaining about dropped calls. Someone went so far as to claim this had something to do with IS95, and was not simply a matter of incomplete buildouts.Anyone know anything about this?

Quincy, Thanks for the slightly more technical discussion. I think it would be a great help for those like myself who are trying to understand all of these complex issues but have no engineering backround if those of you in the know would lay it on us.
