Gary: Thanks once again for your quick response.

I tried copying one of the subdirectories under the IRL directory to a new directory, so the path would be less than 30 characters. I can now read the files in WOW. I tried it with Energy-Coal.

Gary, I imported all of my Metastock tickers that I have in various Metastock files, and created virtual files. But when I opened in Metastock the various tickers in these virtual files, I got an error message in Metastock "end of file"--in other words, I couldn't see any charts in Metastock using the virtual ticker files. What should I do to allow being able to see the Metastock imported virtual tickers?

Thanks. Jan

ps., by the way, the data that I downloaded into qp2 from the internet doesn't recognize the symbol INPR. It used to be BORL, but the ticker name and company name change one week ago.

Gary...

In response to my note to Brooke, you wrote: Believe it or not, WOW is broke. It can't find Metastock type files if the directory name and path is longer than about 30 characters total.

Just what does that mean I have to do? I've already created an IRL profile with (I guess) everything in it. As I've said, WOW can't read it. Is there an easy (read "quick") fix for all this? Or, better yet, what the heck is the fix for this?

TIA, Ken
