q y Pray that HWP doesn't buy 3com. HWP is a bad company, with bad management, bad customer support, and a consumter image that is starting to come under fire.. witness recent problems I have had with HP alone. 1) Bought an HP C-200 Visualize workstaion $40,000. Okay, no problem. Came pre-loaded with an os put also shipped with OS CDs. Install the patch file to enable the second ethernet card. OS crashes and won't boot!. Okay, check the CDs.. WRONG ONES!. 2) Order software. Get codewords (licenses) for one package, and get another package in the mail.. not once put 3 times! 3) Order a Deskjet 1600CM. It shows up BUSTED!.. Do you really want these clowns to buy 3com. Add to that list above the fact that their joint product with Intel (merced) is going to be late. Yeah I love HP.. Steve

q y, I wish Eric won't accept anything under $60 for coms. The best strategy now for coms is to ignore all these buy-out non-senses, instead concentrate on building up larger and larger market shares and beat the s--- out of BAY, asnd and csco. But I think buy-out rumour for coms should be flying soon. The best scenario is for Lu/Seiman/coms/NN to form a super-strong alliance and pave the way for one gigantic company in the future ! I am glad nt took BAY out of its misery, just one less stock to worry about ! Mang
