Infoseek seen selling stake to major media group

Internet search engine company Infoseek (SEEK) saw its shares rise as
much as 11 percent amid speculation a major media partner was waiting
in the wings. Infoseek, often seen as a loner among search engine stocks
that have been signing content exchanges with broadcasters and media
giants, could be in discussions with a major content or equity partner. One
possibility mentioned on Internet bulletin boards the past week: Walt
Disney Co. (DIS). However, Infoseek spokeswoman Amanda Higgins
said, "Unfortunately, we cannot comment on anything that is not
announced." See full story.http://cbs.marketwatch.com/news/current/seek.htx?source=htx/http2_mw
