Time for you to crank up the old comprehension level a notch or two. I've said nothing to denigrate the legal structure in this country. It's the content of certain "laws" that I hold in contempt. Big difference. Naive high school civics guy says yeah, right. Once more for the road, there's a process behind the legal structure and those "certain laws" that aren't to your liking. You don't even have to get the laws repealed, just get another Reagan elected to put Rick Rule back in his old job. Perhaps it'd be more to your liking if the U.S. worked like Bill's holy grail of China? We all know what rights Bill is working for there. When rich guys start talking political philosophy about what's just and unjust, I yawn. When people start talking about the proper philosophical basis necessary for "correct" laws, I know there's an Objectivist somewhere in the vicinity. Somehow, the solutions always come down to special laws for somebody. The system's a mess, no doubt. More of a mess than Bill's OS? I wouldn't argue political philosophy, but I know a little about software. The compelling technical arguments about "OS-browser integration" just aren't, no matter how many times Bill and friends repeat them. I give you credit for honesty, James, but I can't do the same for Bill. He wants statutory immunity, let him lobby for it like any other rich guy. What's good for Major League Baseball is good for Microsoft sounds better to me than "We must be free to innovate". What ever happened to that world class lobbying machine that Bill was going to have in place in 6 months anyway? Cheers, Dan.
