Paul Kangas of Nightly Business Report today said, "And the broadly based Wilshire 5000 had its fourth biggest one-day drop ever, 210 3/4 points; and that represents a paper value lost of $230 billion."

So, today's drop in the Wilshire 5000, a one-day drop mind you, lowered the total market cap of the index by about one-third of the $700 billion that has flowed into the US markets over the last six months. Looking at it from that perspective, the inflow from Asia really hasn't been that big of a deal.
