Hello Nancy, Hope all is well. I think god turns his back on no one, how can he? take the worst example you cn think of, Hitler, Stalin, gacy, Dahmer, whoever. Is it more "Godlike" to rehabilitate that soul, turn it into a loving spiritual vessel, or obliterate it or damn it to eternal pain and suffering? what is a greter testiment to gods works? Spitefull vengance in the name of justice, or rehabilitation through love and compassion? Remember, god can achieve either one. Which is better in your mind? You have been through a horrible experience. One that I may not have been able to physically and/or spiritually survive. You once expressed to me in a private message how you dont even hate the perpetrators. I was incredibally impressed by your strength and compassion. If you had the power, would you damn taht person to eternal hell, or rehabilitate that person so that they know what they have done, realize it, repent it sincerely, and have then develop a desire to good works for etenity in the name of it? God has the power to do both, what do you think is the appropriae response for him? I know what I think. I cant accept any vision that hold him to a lower standard. If that makes me wrong, or evil, or just misguided, so be it. mark

You're not going back far enough. God, according to christian's and jew's views, is all and knows all. Before time began god knew that he would create trillions of beings to live little sparks of finite life and then face an eternity of suffering. What kind of vision of god is that? An insane vision of an insane Creator creating beings primarily to suffer forever. Plus, if the "devil" is the penultimate of evil, why did all good (god) create all evil, since god knew beforehand that was what would happen. For that matter, how can ALL GOOD create ALL EVIL? FT
