Does anyone have any idea what the cost of the ADSL connection will be (for home use)once the RBOC's roll this out? I have a feeling that this will be available here before I can get the cable connection. Actually my cable company supposedly has a one way service available, but it isn't actually available since they have all installs on hold because they are having problems. In any case, I'd take whichever one I can get first. But if I had a choice between one way cable (which also requires a phone line) I'd probably opt for the ADSL if it were available.

Also, could someone please clear up something for me. Is it not correct that AWRE has the technology necessary for ADSL? Are there other companies w/competing technologies? If so, which ones? And if so, how do they compare. I find this whole thing somewhat confusing at times as I'm sure maybe others do also. But my understanding was that it is the awre technology that will allow the RBOC's to roll out the ADSL without major upgrades to existing infrastructures. Is that right? Thanks very much for some help with this.
