That would work, as my previous suggestion of dropping cash from an airplane. Really shows the problem though, how to distribute the printed pieces of paper to the masses. They can do it by lowering interest rates (In Japan's case not an option}, lowering taxes or subsidizing prices. The CBs are somewhat limited, as the population may simply horde. Re-inflating is perhaps a little more difficult than Milty imagined. There is a very big psychological component to the problem.

By the way, the feeling on Wall Street is that the action is in the bond markets, suggesting further deflation, dropping of interest rate. This I gather from some of the interviews by the W.S. gurus.
