EJ,

You're right about Singapore and it's location being key to development in Asia. Some minor corrections to your geographic point though. Singapore is easy and safe access to developing countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.
(Korea is further from Singapore than New York is to LA).

Singapore has more western influence, money, and STABILITY than all those countries I previously mentioned, and is within a couple hundred miles of each of them. It is fast becoming the financial capital of Western Asia (esp. considering Hong Kong's newest twist, Westerners would much rather work out of Singapore than Hong Kong).
