Technically, you're right -- it's a wash. But it does add confidence to the investment community that the company is fundamentally sound and stands behind it's stock. Much bigger companies are paying dividends all the time, and they seem to be doing just fine after paying the dividend. The key here is the message they are sending. This is just a small reward to loyal investors. A much larger payoff awaits us.
