Yes, I was the system intergrator asking too many questions. I have
a great deal of money in Y2K investments now because of this. One
of my clients asked me last year to project the cost of his company
becoming compliant and I told him to double his budget(little
exageration) When he realized that his company could not function
without software he said do whatever it takes. Paul came across to
me as a real meat and potatoes data processing guy. This task is
too messy for the flashy internet types or bells and whistles windows
programmers. The old mainframe attitude of evaluating, planning,
testing and re-testing is the mind set necessary to take on such a
monumental task that has to be done carefully. That's why these
tools take so long to develop. Microsoft can afford to ship software
with bugs and let the public test them. This was not acceptable in
the old mainframe days and especially not acceptable for this
project. So to sum it up, if I was on a major project where my
career was on the line I'd want Paul on my team.
