Brad,

Easy, I wasn't poking at you... ;-)) I was just trying to alert you.

It's difficult to diagnose because it (the database getting overloaded) only happens intermittently.
Interesting, especially since I was having the most problems at around 7:00 - 7:30 AM EDT... I wouldn't think that that was a 'peak' time.. West Coasters are probably still asleep, and most East Coasters are probably still trying to find their mouths with their toothbrush... :-))

Here's a feature I would like to see, although I'm probably in the minority.

It's become part of my work routine to read all messages and clear out all my subject bookmarks which have unread messages. I like to conquer that list twice a day to get the sense of a job completed.

Problem is many subjects have just one or two messages, sometimes short responses, and would be better left alone until a few more accumulate.

Obviously, I could just not read them now, but I do like to clear that list.

It would be ideal if I could click on "read later" (next to "remove bookmark") and those bookmarks go to a third category of bookmarks - those with messages to be read later.

As new posts appear on those to-be-read-later bookmarks, the bookmark would appear again on the primary "new message" bookmark list.

Anyone else think this would be a nice feature?

Best to all, Peter

Here's a tip for those interested in clearing new message counts for selected subjects/people without actually having to enter the thread or posting list.

Click on the subject/person whose count you want to clear and then immediately hit Stop on the Browser. You won't leave the main page, won't go to the thread, but it will clear the new message count. Reload the subject/people main page after you have selectively cleared all that you want to and the new message count will be gone.

An idea born of necessity and experimentation.....

Can someone show me how to get quotes at the bottom of each post for bulletin board
stocks. For example TCBG I don't see any quotes. Others on the thread say they can see
quotes (also yahoo as a quote provider doesnt care)

Brad,

A few days ago the HTML code for less-than stopped working if it has anything other than a space following it. It definitely worked until recently. For example, see #reply-4524117
