Dear Don - don't worry [be happy <VBG>.] While I was serious about my observations, I certainly recognize others' [notice all those '<G>'s and '<VBG>'s, the internet age of friendly exchanges <G>] as keen - probably more so - as mine.

I am not a keen observer of China economic outlook, especially when compared to many of the insightful posters in this thread. My observations are based more on the interpretation the politico-economic imgaination. My main point [which was viewed as a liability to some here] is that she has the need to show how strong she is. Obviously, economic forces can be liken to a mighty river - just b/c China doesn't want to doesn't mean she won't succumb to it. However, unlike the Japanese, she has the will [not that I am in agreement with her willfulness, especially when it comes to her treatments to the ethnic minorities in particular and this mother-earth in general,] so she will use everything at her disposal. So, to answer your question [not that it may be to my satisfaction <g>,] she will devalue if and when she loses her will. At this time, I don't think she will cave anytime soon.

Best, Bosco
