06-17-98 : WTO Session on U.S. Antidumping Duties on Chips
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is scheduled to open a two-day panel session for settling disputes on U.S. antidumping duties on Korean-made computer chips in Geneva Thursday.

The Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said yesterday that the government has brought the United States to the panel because it refuses to withdraw marginal antidumping duties, which stand as high as 0.05 percent.

Today The Market answered any questions one might have had about MUEI's accounting tricks.

DELL and GTW traded higher from the opening bell and were never below yesterday's lows. MUEI was off close to 10% at the worst part of the day and never traded above yesterday's low.
