Looks like a job for 'Chain saw Al'.

We still have a disconnect with CPQ stated numbers for channel inventory levels. They have stated that they expect to have 4 weeks by the end of June. Vanstar says they expect to achieve 6 to 7 weeks by the end of July. In the words of the X-Files: "the truth is out there".

Jim:
Speaking of channel stuffing problems over at CPQ,I think CPQ should dump that german guy and get 'Chain saw Al',I hear he is available.<VBG>

Jim, I tend to agree with you on this inventory issue. Computer Intelligence reports that CPQ had 40 days of channel inventory at April 30 and this was trending upwards going into May. Unless CPQ has pulled rabbits out of their hats since April I can't believe they'll reduce their channel inventory by 12 days [4 weeks total]by the end of June. 12 days reduction in inventory represents essentially 12 days of $0 sales in Q2 or 13% of their revenue. CPQ can't afford that kind of hit and still break even in Q2 [based on their latest warning].
