John, Globally all is well. Americas and Europe are strong.

Dell doesn't see severe ASP declines for the business PC's.

Delines will be due to lower component costs. Dell is passing along the lower cost savings to customers.

Dell is in constant communication with business partners to improve the product and the Microsoft news today is part of an ongoing effort to improve customer satisfaction.

Other PC companies are trying to follow Dell's lead. Dell has the advantage as the front runner and should do well in this environment.

This is the gist of what I heard:

Sub 1K is only 10% of the market
US market is very strong
European market is strong
ASP is low because component prices are low.
Dell asked MSFT to make the operating system more friendly.
