Doug,

Analyst upgradce/downgrade stocks for multiple reasons. IU don't but into conspiracy reasons to drive stocks up 'or down. Ownership of securities is highly distributed amongst several funds and individual owners.

Do your own research, get a broker you trust (well worth the fees for a good one) and over time, companies with results will perform well.

My 2 cents (or 1.4 cents US <vbg>)

Peppe

Doug --

I also think Brokerage Houses should be required to reveal their trades a given amount of time before upgrades and downgrades.

On a completely different topic, for those trying to understand the importance of BAY to Nortel, you might want to study IP and Layer 3 switching.

techweb.com

Is BAY's IP switch really worth $9 billion?

Thanks in advance.
