calling the bottom - my final opinion to you all.

... sounds like a logical level to call these ''at/or near the bottom"

The top was functionally called by oil prices and the bottom will be called by oil prices. Watch oil prices and do not look for new lows, or at how much percentage wise we are off from the highs.

The top was actually called by institutional selling which began prior to the drop in oil prices. They may also signal the bottom in stock prices but we will not know it until we see a couple/few weeks of continuous 1% - 2% up days. It is not required that they precede oil prices. They played it safe and sold early -- they will probably play it safe and buy late -- after oil production and prices become clearer.

This is not the bottom, in my opinion, because there are more earnings revisions and warnings to come. If it is bottom, we will not know it for a month.
