Granstream Saga review...

I just got my most recent issue of PSM (a Playstation magazine), and there's a review of Granstream in it (the on-line PSM site has different reviewers than the paper mag). I'll go ahead and mention the highlights here.

* 3.5 stars out of 5 ("RPG meets fighting game for an average experience.")
* "The fighting system in The Granstream Saga is an innovative step towards diversifying the role-playing genre."
* "The feel [of the fighting] can be very similar to an action game, which gives Granstream a lot more interaction than most traditional RPGs."
* "The dialogue and translations are surprisingly well done for RPG newcomer THQ, and they move the story along at a steady pace."
* "The only real downside to The Granstream Saga is the lack of facial details in the physical appearance of each character.... And without faces, the characters can't completely convey a full range of emotions - a characteristic treasured in an RPG."
* "The slow character movement onscreen gives the game a too casual, almost boring feel."
* "THQ has done a solid job in porting the game over, and players looking for an interesting take on an RPG will definitely want to give it a try. Just don't expect too much, and you'll enjoy it just fine."

Anyway, just thought that might be of interest. :)

PS Andrew, congrats! Best wishes to you and your growing family.
