StaggerLee:

That's my point. There's no way an insider would allow the stock to fall to $.09 (just 5 months ago) if he knew the assets were worth 100 times that much. And no amount of short selling can drive a stock down 95% when it is as heavily traded as MDIN was in 1997. I don't care if you borrow every share and short it -- it's not going to drop the stock by that much unless it is extremely thinly traded, which this one ain't.

I disagree with your conclusion. With more than 75% of the shares held in restricted 144 stock and the "insiders" as you put it knowing what they have, what do they care if there's a short term dip to $.09.

Take a look at how the company is structured. My conclusion is that management and "friends of management" own the lion's share of this issue. I don't think you'll ever see management's 144 stock come to market. It appears structured for a buy out. In order for any other entity to get a controlling interest they'll have to buy the company from management at a price that management deems fair.

Take WHL's response to you to heart. You think these guys are trying to pull a fast one. I think we're sitting on a 30 bagger. Again, we'll see who's right soon enough. Believe me, it won't take too long.

Cheers,

KMT

Ya, I would be buying like crazy at 9 cents, however
some of the best news has materialized since then

Let's see....$330 million / 40 million shares....That's $8.25 a share!

Maybe even $9 if there's a share buyback first! <g>

And this is only ONE property! Forget it, I'm buying a Porsche tomorrow. I have FOUND the money tree :)

By the way, just curious: Can anyone explain why management hasn't taken this tiny company private yet? They must be either really smart, or really dumb. And whichever it is, you guys are the opposite.
