chris, micron never let accepted accounting principles nor morality impact anything they do. holding back inventory reduces their red ink for the short term. it is called hail mary management. they hope that dram pricing moves up so they can dump it at a massive profit down the road. hey, it happened in 1997 ;-)

Chris, You are talking about completed inventory. MU has a scam they work where they don't put holy water on a chip, so it goes into raw goods inventory. <G>
