Now regarding the release, Rex, look at the price/MB : WE'RE DOWN TO $3.30 per MB!!!!!!!

That's cool!

However, given the write speed 100KB/sec it's not suitable for digital camera applications.

Sony must exist in a non-Newtonian universe because HiFD drives read at 3.6MB/sec. and write at 1.2MB/sec ... FASTER than any SNDK CF product. Since Sony engineers managed to squeeze a floppy drive into their Mavica cameras, only a technical flaw would stop them from using HiFD.

Again ... does anyone have any FACTS concerning HiFD drives?
