The esteemed Poet Lariat (roper of large concepts on the hoof) wrote in lucid cybernetic shorthand:

"chair made form
armrests worn
world in a window

cracks on walls
daylight crawls
fan spins above me

comfort is a drug"

Searching for content amidst the "white space" blinding backdrop
peering through a small razor slit
the tie-dyed fantasies of escapism

Bone numbing clarity strikes the temple
a shrill cracking noise
My body goes limp and for a moment
the snapping of my spinal cord seems insignificant

Waking to another day, I pull at the restraints
which unceasingly hinder my desire to fly

Falling in line, I take my place on the freeway
trying to forget the haunting images

Always in circles....the current flows,
plodding tracks through the hardpacked clay
bare feet pleading for a blade of grass.
