>>Daw Technologies Receives New Contract for Approximately $2.6 Million
with Major North American Disc Drive Manufacturer

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 1998--Daw Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:DAWK - news), Tuesday announced the award of a new $2.6 million contract with a North American storage technology company recognized as the world's largest manufacturer of disc drives, magnetic disks and read-write heads.

The facility for which Daw has been contracted is a research and testing facility for leading-edge storage devices. The hyper-sensitive nature of the manufacturing process requires that it take place under contamination controlled conditions. To meet this requirement, Daw will provide approximately 20,000 square feet of class ''l0'' and ''l00'' cleanroom space.

Daw will provide the design/build solution for the cleanroom and will manufacture and install critical architectural components including AiroFrame ceilings, NetWork walls and Matrix raised access flooring. The design and manufacturing portion of the work is to begin immediately, with on-site construction to start during the fourth quarter of 1998. Project completion is scheduled during the second quarter of 1999.<<
