Fishermen off the coast of Tahiti have netted what appears to be the half-eaten remains of the man reported missing earlier today.

Said inspector Hi Lau, "A parachute was found nearby indicating the man was alive when he entered the water. Marks on the body indicate a slow and painful death by pirhanhas. If not for his green polyester leisure suit we might not even have a body at all."

Police declined to identify the man, saying they were in the process of trying to convince at least one relative to claim the body.
