Chip, do you think we should split as soon as possible to increase the float? How much of the 17 million are locked away?

Effective Reduction in Float

RE: "David, I share your concerns. However, the stock has got a relatively thin float which tends to exaggerate rapid price movements. With TDFX entering the Russell 2000, the float will get even thinner (because the index funds won't sell). Chip"

Hmmm... A Reduction in Float During a Time of Rising Expectations? :
One thousand funds buying 1000 shares apiece runs to 1,000,000 shares moving from public hands into hands much more closely held. The effect would be the same as a million share buy-back, but without the usual depletion to the company treasury. Sounds good to me.

How many other indexes are there out there, I wonder?

Hal

However, the stock has got a relatively thin float which tends exaggerate rapid price movements. You can say that again!
Chip, this stock was causing rapid eye movements just to follow it this afternoon...
