Tim - So the chances are slim but I can at least try to persuade and who knows maybe someone reading this board might have some influence where it counts. We can all try sometimes it works and its better than not trying especially when there isn't much else you can do. If past performance is anything to go by they will do more of this "we're Japanese and its our culture" stuff. Well sorry but I don't believe the rest of the world has time for this cultural junk today. Not from the no 1 partner of the US in the world economy. And that is the point. Its OK for the people in a hundred small countries to go on about their cultural problems with implementing the new world order in finance but its not OK for our partner and we must tell him so as a good friend, in fact as his best friend that we are in the same boat as him and we want it smoothed out for both of us NOW not after an election. Becasue if the excuse now is the election then after the election you can bet there will be another excuse and we will be waiting for some other irrelevance and then wating for another irrrelevance and so on and in the meantime lurching downward every couple of weeks. My point of view may seem at first a little selfish aimed as it is in first settling Wall Street but that means settling the retirement of millions of our people and the smooth and unhindered progress of our economy. That might be selfish but I stick by it. Now Japanese just sort it out. Regards, L
