As of end of March, 98, Avid had about $ 200 m cash and marketable securities. They have been buying some of their stock back. But No one makes all cash deal of this type. In fact, I am surprised that they actually coughed up some cash for part of the deal. The deal is dilutive as mentioned in the news release.

AVID management is top notch, operationally. That is obvious from the way they have squeezed every dollar out of the operations last year. As for whether they can pull off a merger of this type technologically and product wise, I guess we will have to wait and see.

Trader I am in in two different stages, one at an average cost of 8.00$ per share and another one at 18,18, and 15. I am no longer averaging down. I am still ahead but can't figure out why this stock is so volatile.

There's a lot of suckers out there, especially the big guys who unloaded this stock, they must have been in real panic mode!

Any idea what insiders have been doing lately?
