Dire straits seems to be an exaggeration in the case of TMAR. A substantial portion of TMAR's earnings are going to be out of the North Sea and off of the coast of Brazil. TMAR is also aggressively upgrading boats to operate in deeper water which should not be as effected by the decreased rig count problems in the GOM.

I don't know what HMAR's individual situation is.

I don't consider this business to have a low barrier of entry. It is not as high as deep water drilling, but it does take a reasonable amount of capital. I'm less worried about barriers to entry than I am about total rig count in the GOM.
