<they could open their own laser centers and hire doctors to zap for them>
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought the backlash against Summit when they had their own centers
to compete with Dr's almost ruined them. I am extremely glad VISX
blew away estimates and rejuvinated the laser eye field. This will
make the valuation for SNRS and other laser co.'s higher (eom)
Feel free to drop by the SNRS thread, we're a friendly bunch..
Regards,
Skane
Jim-
Do you have any opinion on how the news about Summit settling with FTC will affect VISX?
How can a settlement be in the best interests of Summit and VISX? Is it a one time lump sum or it going to mean the reduction of license fees to VISX on a permanent basis?
A bit of good news is the rapid increase of these procedures!!
Also interested what your job is in the ophthalmic field. Private message me if you don't want to post it!
Thanks,
Robert
Anyone:
Is the technology of VISX that much better than BEAM to justify the higher multiple?
What's lacking in BEAM that makes it so low priced?
As a value investor I don't get it. Help me out. Thanks!
