>>>How can you identify a company as being overvalued, and thus a candidate for short-selling, when you don't even know what it's core business is, or the magnitude and finacial breadth of the Y2K opportunity.<<<

Umm, the answer would be, I can't.

>>>but what even gave you interest?<<<

I'm really never sure what it is about a company that strikes my fancy, and keeps me digging.

>>>I think that once you have done your DD, as most of us "zealots" have, you will see that not only is TAVA financially sound, but has the potential, with strong earnings in next two quarters, to rise substantially<<<

In which case I will go long.

"How can you identify a company as being overvalued, and thus a

business is, or the magnitude and finacial breadth of the Y2K
opportunity."

Here's how I start on that task. Hit the link at the bottom of your
screen for the company profile. Here's what I get for TAVA.

Quarter Ending 06/30/97 09/30/97 12/31/97 03/31/98
Revenue (millions) 9.5 11.3 10.5 11.7
Net Income (millions) -3.2 -0.6 -0.6 0.3
Net Profit Margin -33.7% -5.3% -5.7% 2.6%
Shares Outstanding
(millions) 11.7 16.6 17.7 23.3

"...you will see that not only is TAVA financially sound"

not a particularly good picture from the above, IMO.

"...has the potential"

maybe for 1999, but how can Y2K earnings be sustained beyond that?
