Interesting note on the "old" modems --

My understanding is that, this was done, not just to
clear inventories, but because they can get more profit
for a v.90 modem than a non-v.90 modem which the user
would buy at a discounted price and use free upgrade
software.

This could turn out to be a sharp move. We'll see.
The main thing is the ISP's have to convert to v.90
standard. I think the ball is rolling on this and
we'll get more details next week.

Don't get too overconfident. Us longs all still have "scars"
from last quarter.
