Don't tell me you guys have thrown in the towel. Other than Scumb and Paul the thread is dead.
I had to get this URL off the Intel thread of all places. Cyrix announces MII-333. IBM already has. OK, it's on .30u and runs at 2.5 volts. When NSm s .25u fab comes on line this summer that means PR400? parts. Still a weaker FPU but a hellava Winstone 97/98 score.
I've also heard rumors that Cyrix chips speed up on Win 98 as do Pentium IIs where as the K6s slow down a bit. Something about the way they handle 32 bit vs 16 bit? Any idea why?
