Anyone remember PAIR's China contract? Here's something I stumbled on today (it's from a speech given 2/19/98):

"There's a major effort underway in mainland China to bring on board -- as rapidly as possible -- to bring on line 600,000 Chinese businesses in mainland China that are today in many cases, of course, barely automated. But there's a major effort underway to put in place the infrastructure which will allow them to come on line and allow them to be full participants in the merging electronic economy."

Who was the speaker? None other than Marc Andreessen, founder and CEO of Netscape Communications. He was speaking on the subject of Y2K problems. Here's the site:

Of course, the news of PAIR's China contract didn't do a thing for it's stock price. Maybe, though, the revenues from this venture will filter into PAIR's eps when no one's looking....

Also, does anyone know what happened to the Pairgain-News Only site? All of the old posts seem to have been removed.
