JBL's President will appear on CNBC tomorrow, on the Squawk Box session - could be interesting

Paul was there a conference call you listened to? How does it affect your view? What was their body language?

I basically agree with you. Look at it another way. Next quarter may be $.35, or a run rate of $1.40. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a 25 P/E multiple of a cyclical growth company's cycle bottom earnings, when they are about to resume certain, major growth.

Some corrections to my post.

Ran out of time to modify my last post.

If one of the new customers is going into the new SJ plant, then its unlikely to be Lucent as originally rumored. Since Cisco and 3Com are existing customers, the new customer in SJ could likely be Bay Networks (soon to be part of Nortel ?). This still leaves the Lucent rumor floating around.

Also double checked the wording on the last earnings release in March, and after re-reading it, seems that Jabil had already forecast flat revenues for the August quarter compared to the MayQ.

In reply to the person who said he doesn't care about 1999, the fiscal 1999 year starts for Jabil in about 11 weeks on September 1.

Paul
