I believe that what Eric is saying is that he was hoping that NT would hook up with Cisco, which could possibly pull up NT and make it more competitive and would give Cisco better inroads into the telcos. Now, NT is stuck with BAY. NT can't compete in the data field with BAY. They could only do it with Cisco, and they blew the big one. Now Cisco will have to do it alone. But no problem. Chambers will take care of us shareholders...

BTW, did anyone notice that Chambers did not excersize any options last year. Now, that is comforting...
