Another thing about Vapor! and PC Expo

The external Vapor! unit seemed rather delicate. It is made of cheap plastic, and it is the size of a digital camera, or an average sized electric razor. Vapor! will definitely have to be handled with care when in field use. I would like to see it survive a Standard drop test or two and still function.

The battery clips onto the underside of the unit. There is NO Infra-red port on any of the models I saw. It seems to be a very limited device.

A real draw at the Expo were the flat panel displays- boy, THOSE are fantastic. But expensive. The Eizo Plasma displays were gotta-have-its for the rich crowd. Their prime example was a large HDTV sized Plasma screen. Way cool.

The black IBM promotional cardboard boxes were everywhere. Iomega gave away their clickers, and I got one. I plan to click it with joy as Iomega plunges to $4.80 and I cover my short. Oh yes, I plan to short IOM tomorrow.
