Jim, Dell is one of the very few high-tech electronics company that is still growing under the tremendous pressure of Asian flu. Not only that, Michael Dell, himself, seems to be very protective of shareholder's equity, and his own. If you are standing in front of a speeding freight train, that is not very wise on your part.

Also, since Dell's inventory has decreased tremendously in the past few years, the amount of capital to do business is decreasing. That means the market has no reservation to reward Dell with a high multiple.
