For many companies and systems it IS too late, especially for those who are just starting out. Not all, and in the US probably not many of the critical ones. But there is a lot of work that WON'T get done on time no matter what high-priced consultant or magic bullet is employed. Lots of organizations are recognizing the fact and engaging in triage rather than attempts to fix everything.

I have. I don't think they're a Johnny Come Lately. I also don't think they're worth anything close to what the stock is trading for. The market may be good, but it's not THAT good, and it'll slow down when they have to reorganize themselves post 2000.
