Pierre,

You said: I'm leaning heavily toward assessment "A"

I would say: I'm leaning heavily toward assessment "B"

You said: I'll stay long for the quarterlies, which I believe will be worth staying for. If the quarterlies are good, I may stick around to
see what happens with Banshee.

I would say: I'll stay long for the quarterlies, which I believe will be worth staying for. If the quarterlies are good, I may stick around to see what happens with Banshee.

You said: If, however, TnT or Glaze or Savage etc etc. look to be as good as the billing then I'm gone.

I would say: Proably doesn't matter that much. I'll stay long for the quarterlies, which I believe will be worth staying for. If the quarterlies are good, I may stick around to see what happens with Banshee.

Forgive the plagerism.

Best Regards,
Jim

P.S. Can anyone tell me what the exchange rate between the USD and the Yen will be at the end of the month and whether China will devalue their currency and by how much? It would help a lot.

PX - I must admit I'm somewhat confused about your views on TDFX and 3D in general - I can understand being skeptical about the potential for growth / upside in the 3D market, I share some doubts myself. But, if you think that 3D is something you want to invest in, how could you consider investing in companies other than TDFX? I don't see ANYONE else out there seriously competing with TDFX as far as market share / mind share / technology goes. Am I just fooling myself about TDFX being the most likely to win in the 3-D acceleration arena? Do you really think that TnT, Glaze, or Savage can really seriously take on TDFX in this market at this point? Personally, I just don't see it. If Diamond decides to stop shipping TDFX based boards I'll be the first to rush for the exits. Until then, still long, still waiting....
