MM's in most cases dont Choose to be short it just happens as they are surprised by buying spirts. Spirts is the key word, if a market maker gets caught short in a thinly traded BB stock in most cases he knows that the buying will eventually dry up and he will then be able to wait it out and cover his position. MM can help each other to keep the ball alive as their positions gain " AGE" I.E. Cross trading. The way this scenerio is broken is with solid buying, and consistant trading.

The trading has been mainly buying if not all buying today, every buy dropped the offer, IMO this has nothing to do with the company.
